Peter J. Wakeman, D.C.

Acquaro & Wakeman Chiropractic & Rehabilitation, P.A.


Born, in Syracuse, New York, Dr. Wakeman moved to Ormond Beach in 1963 and has been a resident of the Greater Daytona Beach area since that time.  This Seabreeze High School graduate attended Daytona Beach Community College, Stetson and the University of Florida before graduating from Life University, Atlanta, Ga. with a Doctor of Chiropractic degree.  He completed two years of postgraduate study in neurology,  spinal rehabilitation and is certified in manipulation under anesthesia.  He is a past president of the Volusia/Flagler Chiropractic Society and maintains an active membership with the Florida and American Chiropractic Associations.  Dr. Wakeman has owned and operated a multi disciplinary clinic for more than 10 years including specialties such as medical pain management, physiatry, physical therapy and family practice.

   

Dennis A. “Rick” Acquaro, D.C.

Dr. Acquaro was born in Louisville, Ky, moved to the Daytona Beach area as a youth and graduated Father Lopez High School.  His Doctor of Chiropractic degree was earned at Palmer College of Chiropractic, Davenport, Ia. In 40 years of practice, his professional contributions and certifications are extensive. He is past President of the Florida Chiropractic Association and served 18 years on the Board of Directors for the Palmer International Alumni Association where he was awarded “Outstanding State President” and a Fellowship in the Palmer Academy. He served on the Florida Worker’s Compensation Peer Review Committee and the Statewide Health Council by appointment of House Speaker, T.K.Wetherell. He has attended international professional research conferences in London, Paris and Venice as well as Harvard Medical School. Certainly a highlight of his career, was his participation in the leadership team which led 50 Palmer senior chiropractic interns to Kathmandu, Nepal on a clinic abroad mission where over 10,000 Nepalese were treated.


   

Maranda Tiffany, M.P.T.

Maranda Tiffany is a Florida native and graduated from the University of Florida in 2005 with a Master’s degree in Physical Therapy. She has extensive experience in orthopedic rehabilitation and is proficient at designing and executing both conservative and post-operative rehab protocols. Her diligent work ethic and empathetic heart contribute to her ability to provide personalized physical therapy care to each patient. This will assist our patients in achieving their goals of obtaining optimal wellness and improved quality of life.  Maranda is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association. She is an enthusiastic team player and absolutely committed to the concept of improving our patient’s overall health by providing the very best physical therapy care.

   

Laura  Mnierji, C.C.P.A.

Acquaro & Wakeman Chiropractic & Rehabilitation, P.A.


A native Floridian, Laura was born in Punta Gorda,  attended Troy Community College, North Carolina and joined the staff of Acquaro & Wakeman in 2002. During this time she has completed two years of additional study at Cleveland Chiropractic College earning a Certified Chiropractic Physicians Assistant degree and is also certified in Standard First Aid and CPR. Laura assists the doctors with examinations, medical records and referrals. Laura’s attention to detail, her genuine care and concern, afford our patients the highest degree of personal attention in their treatment experience at Acquaro & Wakeman Chiropractic & Rehabilitation, P.A.


Carrie Minihan, L.M.T.

Carrie was born in Fayetteville , N.C. while her father was stationed at Fort Bragg in the 82nd Airborne.  She moved to Florida permanently in 1986 and graduated from Spruce Creek High School and Daytona College,  where she received her massage therapy degree.  She gained experience practicing in both spa and professional settings and joined Drs. Acquaro and Wakeman in 2008.  She is a member of the American Massage Therapy Association.  Carrie truly loves people and especially enjoys contributing to the health and wellbeing of our patients by application of her therapeutic skills in a professional, interdisciplinary setting.
