Your First Visit
Upon entering the office, you will be asked to fill out some brief paperwork,
which will provide us with general information about you and your condition. Please allow about 10 to 15 minutes to finish.
Upon completion, you will be escorted to an examination room where a certified chiropractic assistant will gain more
detailed medical history and perform some preliminary tests such as vital signs, spinal ranges of motion and spinal infrared
screening. At that point you will have the opportunity to meet one of the doctors, who will personally conduct a thorough
orthopaedic, neurological and chiropractic examination to determine the exact nature of your condition. We believe
an accurate diagnosis is most important before any course of treatment is attempted.
Once the examination
is concluded you may be advised that spinal x-rays are necessary. If so, they will be performed immediately, on site. Any
other tests determined to be medically necessary, such as CT scanning, MRI, EMG, etc., will be ordered as an outpatient at
a facility of your choosing.
At this time patients will generally be provided with treatment or recommendations
for rapid pain relief. A follow up visit will be scheduled for a conference to discuss examination and test findings as well
as treatment options and specific recommendations. Should we determine that you are not a candidate for chiropractic care,
you will be promptly referred to an appropriate specialist.
Usually allow about one hour to complete your first
visit while 20-30 minutes for future visits is usually adequate.
